We protect the interests of musicians

About the organization

Union of musicians of the Czech Republic is an organization with long standing tradition. The first musical organization was founded in 1906.

The organization has always protected the interests of musicians and helped to create dignified conditions.

Union of musicians of the Czech Republic unities these genres:

  • Brass Band Division – large and small brass bands
  • Mainstream Division – dance and the big band orchestras
  • Dance and Movement Division – dance, folklore, and drum majorette groups
  • Organizational Division – legal, patrons 

Activities

Union of musicians of the Czech Republic supports the development of music education with emphasis on the music education of youth and contributes to enrichment of musical and dance culture in the Czech Republic mainly by

  • Cooperation with the state authorities and institutions, towns, elementary schools, cultural houses, and Children and Youth Centres
  • Submitting the suggestions regarding the development of our musical and dance culture to the state authorities and cultural organizations
  • Issuing documents regarding its area of activities
  • Organizing trainings, courses etc.
  • Holding public events, such as festivals, concerts, competitions, performances, and music shows
  • Developing cooperation with similar foreign organizations and attending their events
